Q. Why is a JPY 150 company information registration fee required for FedEx shipments to the United States?

A.

Since around August 2026, customs clearance procedures in the United States have become stricter. For packages shipped to the United States via FedEx, the manufacturer's/seller's name and address shown on the product must be registered in English.

Therefore, Sendon needs to check and register the manufacturer's information in English. Starting from September 3, 2026, Sendon will charge a manufacturer's/seller's information registration fee of 150 JPY per manufacturer.

The fee is based on the number of different manufacturer's/seller's registered, not the number of products.

Example 1:

Product A → Manufacturer A
Product B → Manufacturer A

Fee: 150 JPY
(Both products have the same manufacturer.)

Example 2:

Product A → Manufacturer A
Product B → Manufacturer B

Fee: 300 JPY
(Two different manufacturers are registered.)

Even if one package contains multiple products, only one 150 JPY fee will be charged when all products have the same manufacturer's/seller's.

Please note that if we cannot confirm the manufacturer's/seller's name or address from the information provided on the product, Sendon Customer Support may contact you for additional information.
